CD Recordings

CD recordings make up a considerable part of the activities of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. Several of the recordings by the orchestra have won international acclaim.
Recent CD releases are: Emil von Sauer: Piano Concerto No. 2 and a recording of ballet music by Knudaage Riisager with Bo Holten conducting. Together with the recording of music by British composers such as Cowen and Coleridge-Talylor (conductor Douglas Bostock, 2006) one of the latest recordings is a CD recording with romantic music by the russian composer Balakirev, James Loughran is conducting and Oleg Marshev is soloist in Balakirev's pianoconcerto. Listen to samples from the CD (DACOCD616). The orchestra has released recordings with Danish music by Niels Marthinsen (Monster's Symphony) and Erik Bach. Former chiefconductor James Loughran conducts a live-recording from the Dome in Aarhus.
